The District Technology Coordinator is primarily responsible for maintaining and updating the Student Information System, currently PowerSchool.  She collaborates with Attendance Clerks and Guidance Counselors to assist in the management of coding proper fields for EFA/EIA auditing, precode for district testing,  attendance verifications, and course verification among many other requirements pertaining to PowerSchool.  The Coordinator is also responsible for ensuring data is collected and submitted to the State Department of Education through the Excent Enrich Software.

The District Technology Coordinator provides administrative support and assistance in regard to technology use in the classroom including use of Smartboards and iPads.

The District Technology Coordinator collaborates with principals and teachers in implementing technology into the curriculum and preparing students and teachers for online testing.

I assist in structuring technology education of students, teachers and staff. Though the technology coordinator may not directly conduct all training, lab work or classes regarding technology use, I do coordinate instruction to meet technology proficiency goals.

The Technology Department attempts to identify trends in software, curriculum, teaching strategies, and new resources as well as creates, maintains and oversees the integration of the Technology Plan for the district along with the assistance of community members and district staff members.

Finally, I assist in creating learning resources for teachers, staff, and students. These may include web sites, interactive programs, databases, etc that support teachers in integrating technology. Ideally, teachers will be guided and encouraged in developing their own resources and I will support these efforts, providing additional support as needed.
