Students will be increasing their vocabulary skills by defining and discussing 18 words.

RL 4 Reading with sufficient accuracy and fluency to support comprehension

as a guide.  

Writing, Essays

Many people volunteer their time to help others, either through non-pro?t organizations, churches, or other charitable venues. What is your favorite charity and why should others volunteer with you.(Not done yet)

 

AAPR 1  Add, subtract, multiply polynomials,

AAPR 6 rewrite rational expressions in different forms

Students will complete work from this week that was not completed and work on IXL or APEX assignments.

Learning Goals / Objectives

SWBAT  identify, pronounce and make connections to related vocabulary words/synonyms

Students without homework will be given additional assignment of APEX or IXL.

Students will define 18 vocabulary words and write sentences with 7 of them

Students will conclude reading book The Gun and answer questions on Chapter 10 We will also begin reading and answers questions on book Promises to Keep which is a follow up on the Gun

 

 Students will have work from other classes or they can complete IXL or APEX lessons.

Students will write an essay on How Should We Make Decisions for Ourselves. What do we think about when making a decision.

 Students will solve math problems for algebra or geometry. Students will also get on APEX or IXL

 

Work will include math and incorporation of CNN student news. Then discussion and a writing prompt from current events.

Then students will have  a math assignment from IXL or Easy CBM  on the following (algebra, geometry, word problems) I am working on coordinating this with IEPs or current levels.
