This course is designed to teach students software applications that are necessary to live and work in a technology society. The applications covered include word processing, database, spreadsheet, and presentation. Other content areas may include computer hardware, terminology, and concepts.
The course standards for IBA are based on the standards found in the Career and Technology Education Course Standards. Students who successfully complete IBA with a passing 60% or higher will have demonstrated the ability, concepts, knowledge, and skills required to meet those course objectives. These course standards will be provided within the syllabus.

Class Procedures and Class Rules:
Students have received a “Student Handbook” outlining daily operations and procedures followed at Williston Elko High School. Class Rules are posted on the wall of the classroom as well as below:
- Follow all rules in the student handbook.
- Be prepared.
- Show respect.
- Be on time to class.
- No food or drink in the Business Education Lab.

Missing/ Makeup and Late Work Policy--It is the responsibility to ask for any missing work or make up work due to absence from class.
