Power Outage

We experienced a power outage this morning at the district office, media center,  high school, and gym.  SCE&G was contacted and they responded immediately.  Initially,  students reported to the gym for breakfast. We believe a transformer blew on a power pole behind the district office.  Electricity has been restored, and students are now in classes at the high school.

School Board Recognition Month

times roman

Williston School District 29 Board of Trustees are in the spotlight this month in recognition of School Board Recognition Month.  More than 600 locally elected and appointed school board members throughout the state will be recognized by schools and communities for their service and dedication to public education.

The theme "School Boards Stand Up 4 SC Public Schools" recognizes the important roles school boards play in promoting and advocating for quality education.  Our school board members are elected by the people of Williston to represent our voices and to ensure the success of our schools and students.

Williston School District 29 would like to take this time to thank all of our board members, Chairman Russell J. Overton, Vice-Chair Ferlecia A. Cuthbertson, Secretary Michael L. Hutto, and Board Member Doris B. Young,  for their dedication and service and for ensuring equal learning opportunities for all our students.  We extend our sincere appreciation for all they do.
